Yesterday I played at Leeds Volkswagon. They had a long standing customer collecting a new car and they wanted to make the occasion special and ‘provide a unique handover experience’ so they asked me to hide upstairs and then once the paperwork was completed they gave me the signal and I played a couple of 2/4 marches whilst being led downstairs to play in front of the customers. The couple were absolutely gob smacked and fortunately delighted. They both had their photo taken with me and then they were presented with some flowers before being handed over the keys to their new car. It was an unusual event to be asked to play at but great fun. Many thanks to the receptionist Sacha for sending me this video. The tune is called ‘The Young MacGregor’.
